For jazz, lyrical, and contemporary you can wear clothes like these. Tight clothes, that wont get in the way of your dancing. A lot of girls just wear sports bras, that way, a shirt wont get in the way. The shorts are spandex but colorful.
For Tap it doesn't really matter what you wear.
For Ballet you wear clothes like this. It's called a leotard, and you usually wear pink tights with them. Its form fitting, and very proper in the dance world that you wear a black leotard, and pink convertible tights. (They have holes in the bottom so you can pull them up easily.
For hip hop, you usually wear bagging clothing easy to move in, like this. You can really wear anything you want, just not jeans. You can wear tank tops, sweatshirts, anything.
